Perched over a secluded beach in a corner of Guanacaste, Punta Islita is the perfect destination for anyone who desires luxury, tranquility and spectacular scenery. The charming colonial decor, complete with thatched palm and tile roofs, gives a Costa Rican touch to our exclusive boutique hotel. The use of earth tones, bare wood, palm fronds, and antiques makes this resort particularly enticing for the romantic hideaway of your life. All rooms are built upon a gentle knoll nestled up against the mountains, with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. At our main building you will find a cascade style swimming pool with Jacuzzi, that appears to flow into the ocean beyond, a swim-up bar, restaurant, boutique and a conference room for 35 people.

There are 20 bungalows, 4 suites 5 casita suites, & three villas. Each of the ocean-view bungalows has 2 queen size beds or 1 king size bed, a spacious bath with hot water, hair dryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, color satellite T.V. and mini bar. Each room also has an open terrace equipped with a comfy hammock, where guests can relax and enjoy the fresh ocean air and lovely natural surroundings. The suites also have an outdoor whirlpool for two on a private ocean-view deck and a bath tub that looks out over a small enclosed garden. Our charming Villas have three bedrooms, a living room and a fully equipped kitchenette. 'Casitas Suites' have a king size bed, satellite TV, a private pool, terrace with ocean view, hot water, AC, ceiling fan, CD player, ice maker, and bathtub.

If it is exquisite dining you crave, discover Punta Islita's renowned cuisine and friendly down to earth service. Our majestic "1492" restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious fresh sea-food, French and International cuisine, as well as native Costa Rican dishes.

The Columbus Conference Room has a capacity of 35 persons classroom style, 50 theater style, 30 U-shape, or cocktails for 60 people.

Punta Islita has two tennis courts, a driving range for golf and a gym, and spa with naturist products. We can also arrange horseback riding tours, mountain biking, nature walks in reforested and virgin forest, sportfishing, boat tours, birdwatching, snorkeling, 4x4 Kawasaki vehicles, hiking tours and turtle nesting tours to nearby Camaronal Wildlife Refuge in season. There is also excellent surfing nearby.

The climate is warm with an average annual temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest months are January through May. Limited rain falls during the months of September and October.

We offer private land transportation from San José. By plane, Naturelair provides you with a daily flight scheduled from Tobías Bolaños Airport to our private air strip. Estimated flying time 50 minutes, luggage limit - 25 pounds per person. Check-in 30 minutes before departure.
